ABOUT THE ARTIST
Jaime Hogge is a photographer who does not like to categorize himself. His work seamlessly transitions from portraiture to editorial to documentary and has appeared in such publications as Macleans, Toronto Life, Report on Business, Financial Post and Corduroy magazine. As well, he has received commissions from Levi’s, CBC and the National Film Board of Canada. He currently lives in Toronto with his lovely ladyfriend, two cats and one crazy dog.
“Small, simple, quiet, somber and nostalgic. That’s how I would describe the majority of my work if I had to (which I do). I find inspiration everywhere; from film and other pieces of art, to comic books, to childhood memories and the way the sun flickers through a fence when I’m taking my dog for a walk.
“I typically don’t try to create images about a single idea or concept. I prefer to leave things open to interpretation as much as possible, so that different people can take different things away from it. When I’m shooting a location, I want to convey a feeling and a mood. I want to create an image that you can get lost in, without it being overcomplicated or too conceptual. I wouldn’t say I go out of my way to make things overly basic, but instead I opt for a level of realism over something fantastical.”

ABOUT THE PRINT
This print is made in-house using archival pigment inks on heavyweight semi-gloss archival paper. Each print is custom-trimmed and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Edition dimensions reflect actual paper sizes, not the printed image itself. While we try to maximize image size on all prints, a minimum border of .5 inches is left to allow for easy framing.
